Створення реабілітаційної та спортивної інфраструктури для ветеранів у м. Конотоп

30 жовтня 2025 р., у приміщенні Дипломатичної академії України ім. Г. Удовенка при МЗС України (Київ), відбулася міжнародна конференція “Стійкість та європейське майбутнє Сумської області“.

Мета міжнародної конференції – зосередити увагу міжнародних партнерів на Сумській області, яка є «східними воротами Європи» та, незважаючи на виклики війни, демонструє стійкість українського народу. 

Creation of a rehabilitation department at Konotop Hospital

The hospital is one of the main medical institutions of the Sumy region and provides its services to the population of both the Konotop community (Konotop city and 3 rural areas) and the entire district, which is more than 150 thousand people. Residents of the communities of the neighboring Chernihiv region also use certain types of hospital services.

Project cost: 59 million UAH

It is planned to reconstruct the physiotherapy department of the Konotop Central District Hospital and equip it with rehabilitation equipment

The total number of visits per year for the adult population is 4846 people, 8882 procedures are performed, of which:

–       massage – 2771

–       thermal procedures – 876

–       physiotherapy procedures – 5235

The total number of visits per year for the child population is 2129 people, 5704 procedures are performed, of which:

–       massage – 1657

–       thermal procedures – 166

–       physiotherapy procedures – 3881

Establishment of conditions for the provision of high-quality rehabilitation services at the Konotop Central District Support Hospital.

More than 7 thousand adults and children will undergo massage, thermal and physiotherapy procedures.

External insulation of the building; repair of water supply, sewage, heating, and power supply systems; interior renovation of the premises; replacement of boiler equipment; installation of an alarm system; procurement of rehabilitation equipment; improvement of the surrounding area

Rehabilitation complex with adaptive sports activities

The concept was developed by the project team of LLC «European Technologies in Construction» LLC Scientific and Production Enterprise «AKADEMIYA» in cooperation with the community

429 million UAH

Creation of a modern sports and rehabilitation complex, which will provide conditions for physical development, professional training, rehabilitation of military and civilian personnel after injuries and illnesses, will promote social integration, the formation of a healthy lifestyle and the development of community sports infrastructure

Area of the site – 1.3 hectares:

building of the complex,

two outdoor sports grounds,

parking lot for 47 cars

All categories of the population:

– people who have suffered psychological and physical trauma (veterans; IDPs; families of the deceased; children; people who were under occupation; people in need of psychological support);

– people with disabilities;

– pupils of sports schools who attend sports sections;

– physically and socially active youth;

– elderly people

Services will be provided: rehabilitation specialist, psychologist, sports trainer

A gym and sections will be open: football, basketball, volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, taekwondo, boxing, tennis

Effective rehabilitation will be provided by special multidisciplinary teams.

The main task of the team is to restore the person’s mental and physical functions to the maximum. After all, it is the person and his needs that are in the center of attention

The total area of the building is 5.8 thousand m2. On the first floor there will be a large sports hall for various types of sports, including adapted, a swimming pool, massage rooms, a cafe, a lobby group.

On the zero floor there will be a gym, a martial arts hall and a dual-purpose room (shelter). Also, technical rooms will be located on the floor.

On the second floor, it is planned to equip a medium and small sports hall, a physical therapy hall, table tennis, a location for communication, a conference hall, psychologist’s offices and a medical consultation.

The formation of the complex is based on the concept of comprehensive development of a person as an individual and as the highest value of modern society. It is expressed through the integration of 7 types of spaces: physical education and sports space, space for recovery and rest, medical space, educational space, press center space, interpersonal space, humanitarian space.

1. Sports rehabilitation – in a modern rehabilitation and sports complex, veterans will be able to restore physical fitness, strengthen their health and find new motivation.

2. Physical rehabilitation – on the basis of the physiotherapy department, veterans will be able to receive the necessary medical and rehabilitation procedures.

3. Psychological relief – in the relaxation center, combatants and their families will be able to restore psychological balance and internal resources.

4. Perpetuation of memory – a space is being created in the city’s Memorial Square to preserve the memory of the fallen Heroes, which will become an important place for the entire community
